Communications Specialist – Deployable C4I Systems

About the role

The Communications Specialist will join a small, agile team supporting a deployable C4I system in Bahrain. The role involves on‑site system, network and communications administration, ensuring satellite and radio equipment operate reliably for regional combat command exercises and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, process and troubleshoot satellite communications systems.
• Submit satellite and gateway access requests (SAR/GAR) and create Request for Maintenance Assistance (RMA).
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot Harris radios or equivalent RF equipment.
• Provide on‑site technical support for the C4I system at garrison and deployed locations.
• Support typical 5‑day work weeks (0800‑1700) and be available for overtime or 24/7 operations during contingencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of related experience (four years experience may substitute for degree).
• Minimum Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Willingness to relocate to Bahrain for a minimum one‑year assignment and travel up to 20%.
• Knowledge of setup and sustainment of deployable C2 systems.
• Experience with Harris radios or similar RF equipment, SATCOM administration, and SAR/GAR processes.
