Construction Chemicals Engineer

About the role

Level One Global General Trading and Contracting W.L.L., a distributor of construction chemicals and materials in Bahrain, is looking for an experienced Construction Chemicals Engineer to support and develop its construction chemicals business. The engineer works on-site in Qalali, Muharraq, in a full-time capacity. The vacancy is open only to candidates currently residing in Bahrain with proven, directly relevant experience in construction chemicals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess site conditions, identify technical problems and recommend suitable products and application methods.
• Prepare technical proposals, material submittals, method statements, BOQs and quantity calculations.
• Conduct site inspections, product demonstrations and technical presentations to consultants, contractors and clients.
• Manage technical enquiries and project follow-ups independently.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with over 2 years of experience.
• Proven track record working with established construction chemical manufacturers or their authorized distributors.
• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving, performance evaluation and data interpretation.
• Solid knowledge and experience in the chemical industry, particularly construction chemicals and building materials.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Only candidates with direct construction chemicals experience will be shortlisted; general construction experience is not enough.

Required skills

• Practical technical experience in waterproofing, concrete repair, protective coatings, industrial flooring, screeds and cementitious systems.
• Ability to prepare technical proposals, submittals, method statements, BOQs and quantity calculations.
