Cook II – La Plage

About the role

The La Plage restaurant at The Ritz‑Carlton in Manama is seeking a Cook II to join its culinary team. This full‑time position involves preparing high‑quality dishes in line with the brand’s standards while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and storing fresh produce.
• Measure, weigh and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality checklists.
• Cook hot and cold dishes using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, ensuring proper temperature and presentation.
• Monitor food quality throughout preparation and adjust as needed.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain sanitation of kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a similar food‑preparation role.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
