Counter Trafficking Consultant

About the role

The Counter Trafficking Consultant will support the Phase II implementation of the Regional Centre of Excellence for Combatting Trafficking in Persons (RCTiP) in Bahrain. The role focuses on expanding training curricula, developing e‑learning solutions, and strengthening Bahrain’s regional leadership in anti‑trafficking efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt and expand existing training materials to reach a broader audience of practitioners, including interpreters, recruitment officers, manpower agents, and border officials.
• Design and implement e‑learning modules that promote self‑learning and awareness raising on trafficking identification and referral.
• Support the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for victim identification and protection.
• Collaborate with IOM, LMRA, and national protection mechanisms to ensure alignment with international standards.
• Assist in research, data collection, and management activities related to trafficking trends and program impact.
• Explore sustainability options for the centre, such as monetisation of training products.

Required profile

• Proven experience in anti‑trafficking, capacity building, or related humanitarian fields.
• Familiarity with national protection mechanisms and international anti‑trafficking standards.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, NGOs, and international partners.
