Design & Technical Manager - FF&E and Joinery

About the role

The Design & Technical Manager – FF&E and Joinery will lead the setting‑out department for bespoke and hospitality projects in Bahrain. You will coordinate internal teams and external clients to ensure seamless project delivery, balancing quality, cost and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee assigned projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to budgets.
• Guide the setting‑out team through execution strategy, material submissions, procurement, shop drawings, prototyping and manufacturing delivery.
• Manage project schedules, review shop drawings and address client expectations.
• Check material details, obtain clearance for variations and supervise material procurement.
• Interpret project specifications, identify material requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Continuously improve processes, implement efficiency initiatives and support continuous improvement.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and clients to lead and coordinate project needs.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in a manufacturing or interior‑fit‑out environment.
• Relevant qualification in interiors, technical design or a related discipline.
• Proven expertise in joinery setting‑out, detailing, planning, site execution strategy, shop drawings, cutting lists and material take‑offs.
• Strong knowledge of common joinery and interior materials (timber, veneers, laminates, hardware, glass, acrylic, stone, metals, fabrics).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for material integration challenges.
• Proficiency in Autodesk products and Microsoft Office applications.
