Design & Technical Manager – FF&E and Joinery

About the role

Havelock One Interiors is seeking an experienced Design & Technical Manager to lead FF&E and joinery projects in Bahrain. You will coordinate internal and external teams, ensuring seamless delivery of bespoke hospitality interiors while maintaining client satisfaction, quality, and cost performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee assigned projects, ensuring efficient execution and adherence to timelines.
• Guide the setting‑out team through execution strategy, material submissions, procurement, shop drawings, prototyping, and manufacturing delivery.
• Manage project schedules, review shop drawings, and address client expectations.
• Check material details, obtain clearance for variations, and oversee material procurement.
• Interpret project specifications, identify material requirements, and provide technical guidance.
• Continuously improve processes, identify and implement efficiency initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to lead and coordinate project needs.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in a manufacturing or interior‑fit‑out environment.
• Relevant qualification in interiors, technical design, or a similar discipline.
• Proven expertise in joinery setting‑out, detailing, planning, site execution strategy, shop drawings, cutting lists, and material take‑offs.
• Strong knowledge of interior materials such as timber, boards, veneers, laminates, hardware, special surfaces, glass, acrylics, stone, metals, and fabrics.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills related to material integration.
• Proficiency with Autodesk software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office applications.
