Director of Revenue Management (Pre‑Opening)

About the role

The Director of Revenue Management (Pre‑Opening) will build the revenue strategy and commercial infrastructure for a new 5‑star hotel in Manama, driving market positioning, pricing architecture and pre‑booking momentum before launch.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct competitive market analyses, feasibility reviews and design the hotel’s rate architecture, corporate rates, seasonal yield strategies and package offerings.
• Lead the configuration, testing and integration of core revenue technologies (PMS, RMS, CRS, channel manager, rate‑shop tools) and establish connections with GDS, OTAs and wholesale distributors.
• Develop the pre‑opening and Year‑1 revenue budgets, KPIs, dashboard templates and weekly revenue strategy committee frameworks.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to accelerate pre‑booking, align direct‑booking strategies and monitor competitor launch actions.
• Audit daily rate‑shop reports, STR data and booking pace trends, delivering revenue updates to owners and corporate leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Finance, Business Administration or Economics; Master’s or specialized revenue‑management certification preferred.
• 3–5 years experience as a Director of Revenue Management in a 5‑star international luxury hotel, with at least one pre‑opening project.
• Business fluency in English; additional regional language skills a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced mastery of hotel systems such as Opera PMS, IDeaS RMS or Duetto, SynXis CRS, TravelClick/RateGain.
• High proficiency in data analytics, Excel modelling and STR market performance reports.
• Strong understanding of GDS contracting, OTA extranets and direct web conversion tactics.
