About the role

Graviton Interiors is seeking a skilled Draftsman to produce detailed construction and interior design drawings. The role involves translating sketches and engineering data into accurate CAD models and supporting the project team throughout the design and build phases.

Key responsibilities

• Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects based on sketches or notes.
• Produce drawings using CAD systems and maintain drafting standards consistent with the construction industry.
• Create and duplicate documentation packages using blueprinting, photography, or other duplicating methods.
• Generate maps, diagrams, cross‑sections, and topographical profiles from survey data.
• Interpret and modify data from topographical surveys, well logs, and geophysical prospecting reports.
• Review sketches and specifications from civil engineers to ensure design conformity.
• Supervise and train technologists, technicians, and junior drafters.
• Conduct field surveys and inspections to gather data for drawing revisions.
• Determine drawing presentation methods such as orthographic or isometric views.
• Calculate excavation tonnage, fill‑hauling diagrams, and material quantities.
• Explain drawings to production and construction teams and adjust as needed.
• Maintain CAD templates, process external CAD files, and keep the drafting schedule.
• Ensure compliance with fire codes and relevant construction regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in drafting and producing construction or interior design drawings.
• Ability to supervise and train junior drafting staff.
• Strong understanding of survey data interpretation and topographical mapping.
• Familiarity with fire code regulations and construction standards.
