Estimator – Interior Fit‑Out Projects

About the role

The Estimator prepares accurate, competitive and commercially sound cost estimates for fit‑out enquiries, quotations and tenders. The role manages the estimating process from enquiry review and scope clarification through supplier pricing, tender analysis, internal approval and handover to the operational and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review enquiries, RFQs, drawings and specifications to define scope and pricing plan.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, subcontract works, logistics and installation.
• Identify value‑engineering options and alternative solutions to protect quality, programme and client intent.
• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, analyse and negotiate rates and commercial terms.
• Compile tender analysis, pricing summaries and mark‑up recommendations for internal approval.
• Coordinate handover of awarded projects with project management, commercial and procurement teams, providing a clear cost baseline.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in the interior fit‑out industry.
• Full‑cycle tender experience including quantity take‑off, cost build‑up, supplier pricing and value engineering.
• Proven ability to interpret drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and contract conditions.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial judgement with attention to detail.
• Effective negotiation and supplier‑management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal business English and ability to communicate with internal and client stakeholders.
