Exam Proctor – School Administration

About the role

The Exam Proctor ensures that all examinations are conducted smoothly and in strict accordance with SABIS® guidelines. This role involves preparing exam halls, supervising students, and maintaining exam integrity throughout each session.

Key responsibilities

• Run all AMS/HE, periodic and final exams accurately, including external exams such as SAT, GCE, IGCSE, and AP.
• Check exam hall capacity, prepare seating plans, label and colour‑code desks, and display exam rules.
• Inform students and supervisors of exam regulations and assist students in logging into the SSMS.
• Maintain a quiet atmosphere, monitor exam timing, and report any irregularities to the head supervisor or Director.
• Coordinate with the IT assistant to ensure exams are uploaded correctly and prepare printed or digital exams in advance.
• Securely store printed exams, verify copies, and manage any layout or formatting issues before distribution.
• Record attendance, report absences, and document exam completion times.
• Collect and count completed papers, handle any problems during the exam, and ensure proper documentation.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established exam procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage seating plans, exam materials, and timing.
• Ability to communicate rules clearly to students and supervisors.
• Capability to work calmly under pressure and address issues that arise during examinations.
