Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads all housekeeping and laundry operations for a luxury hotel, ensuring impeccable cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation across guest rooms and public areas. The role also involves building the department’s structure before the hotel opens.

Key responsibilities

• Establish operating procedures, cleaning schedules, and departmental manning guides during pre‑opening, and manage the setup of guest rooms and public spaces.
• Direct daily housekeeping, laundry, and public‑area teams to maintain high hygiene and aesthetic standards.
• Recruit, onboard, schedule, and train staff on luxury cleanliness protocols, chemical handling, and safety.
• Oversee budgets, control linen and supply inventories, and manage external contractors such as laundry and pest control.
• Collaborate with Engineering for room maintenance and with Front Office to ensure efficient room turnarounds.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as an Executive Housekeeper or Deputy in a luxury hotel, preferably with pre‑opening project experience.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Fluent business communication in English and strong leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PMS systems, especially the Opera Housekeeping module.
• Knowledge of fabric care, sanitation standards, and chemical handling.
• Experience in operating budget management and inventory control.
