Field Operator I

About the role

The Field Operator I supports safe and efficient plant operations to meet production targets. Working under supervision, you will monitor equipment, perform routine tasks, and ensure compliance with safety and procedural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in operating and monitoring process equipment, recording parameters and reporting abnormalities.
• Support system start‑ups and shutdowns, mechanical and instrument jobs, and pressurizing/depressurizing of pipelines.
• Check pressure, temperature and level gauges, follow O&M instructions, and troubleshoot compressors after shutdowns.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly operational and maintenance checks under supervision.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance (isolation, draining, decontamination) and ensure accurate shift handovers.
• Handle chemicals, lubricants and coolants safely, maintain housekeeping standards, and comply with Emergency Response Team duties.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Industrial Processes, Chemical, Petroleum or equivalent.
• 0‑2 years experience in a similar Oil & Gas role.
• Familiarity with plant equipment, processes, PFDs, P&IDs, cause‑and‑effect matrices and fire‑gas detection philosophy.
• Basic knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems (work orders, preventive/corrective/predictive maintenance).
• Good command of English (written and spoken); Arabic is a plus.
• Motivated team player able to work in a diverse cultural environment.
