Field Operator II

About the role

Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant to achieve production targets, executing operations tasks according to procedures, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor all process equipment, log operational parameters, and perform related maintenance activities.
• Identify and report critical abnormalities, troubleshoot compressor shutdowns, and coordinate start‑ups and shutdowns.
• Pressurize and de‑pressurize equipment and pipelines, review gauges, and adjust operational parameters with supervisors.
• Conduct isolation, draining, decontamination, and prepare equipment for maintenance.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operational and maintenance checks and ensure safe handling of chemicals and lubricants.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Industrial Processes, Chemical, Petroleum or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in gas compression plant operations.
• Familiarity with gas plant equipment, processes, and safety systems.
• Ability to work in remote, hot and humid sites with varying shift schedules.

Required skills

• Operation and monitoring of process equipment and compressors.
• Troubleshooting of Waukesha/CAT engines and Ariel compressors.
• Understanding of plant PFDs, P&IDs, cause‑and‑effect matrices, and fire‑gas detection systems.
• Use of Maintenance Management Systems for work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office suite.
