Field Service Technician

About the role

Sulzer is seeking a hands‑on Field Service Technician to support customers with onsite repairs, service, and supervision of field service personnel. The role ensures safe and efficient operation of rotating equipment across assigned locations.

Key responsibilities

• Dismantle, inspect, machine, repair and rebuild Sulzer and non‑Sulzer rotating equipment.
• Perform field service repairs and overhauls in workshops and client sites.
• Supervise subcontractors as needed.
• Liaise with customers, compile job reports and represent Sulzer.
• Assist in maintaining OSH, Quality and Environment policies and procedures.
• Support ISO accreditation implementation and maintenance.
• Interpret engineering drawings.
• Balance rotating equipment and align pumps, motors, etc.
• Machine components as required.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience with electrical/mechanical products and field service.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Willingness to travel more than 50 % of the time.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
