Finance Team Lead – Tax & Compliance Europe

About the role

Vanderlande is seeking a Finance Team Lead for Tax & Compliance Europe to head the regional tax function, ensure compliance across multiple European jurisdictions, and drive continuous improvement of tax processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Europe Tax & Compliance team.
• Oversee corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax and transfer pricing compliance activities.
• Coordinate with Group Tax, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Payroll and local business stakeholders.
• Act as primary contact for tax authorities, auditors and external advisors.
• Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks, translating legislative changes into practical guidance.
• Standardise and improve tax controls, documentation and reporting across Europe.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of tax/compliance experience in an international environment.
• Proven experience leading or coaching a team.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
