French-speaking Accountant (International Entities)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual French‑English accountant to manage accounting, reporting and compliance for our UK and Belgian entities. Based in Bahrain, you will join a small finance team and act as the primary finance contact for these entities, ensuring accurate financial statements and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of accounting and reporting for UK and Belgian entities
• Month‑end close, financial reporting and variance analysis
• VAT returns, tax compliance and statutory reporting
• Balance‑sheet and intercompany reconciliations
• Support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banks and regulatory bodies
• Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English
• 4‑6 years of finance or accounting experience
• Hands‑on experience with UK and/or Belgian accounting, VAT and tax compliance
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities
• Relevant qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) is advantageous
