French-speaking Accountant for UK & Belgian Entities

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual French‑English accountant to manage the accounting, reporting and compliance functions for our UK and Belgian entities. Based in Bahrain, you will join a small finance team and act as the primary finance contact for these entities, ensuring accurate financial statements and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of accounting and month‑end close for UK and Belgian entities
• Prepare and file VAT returns, tax compliance and statutory reports
• Perform balance‑sheet and inter‑company reconciliations
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banks and regulatory bodies
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English
• 4‑6 years of finance or accounting experience
• Hands‑on experience with UK and/or Belgian accounting, VAT and tax regulations
• Proven ability to work independently in a multi‑entity, international environment
