Head of Advisory - Insurance Sector

About the role

Braxtone is looking for a Head of Advisory to turn the Advisory business into a trusted, high-growth regional partner for insurance-sector boards, executive teams, regulators and investors. The role covers business development, client leadership, service portfolio, people and governance, with a focus on the GCC insurance market.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the advisory strategy, annual plan and three-year growth roadmap, own the practice P&L and build a focused portfolio of repeatable, high-value offerings.
• Originate and convert new assignments and grow key accounts through relationships with boards, CEOs, regulators and investors, and lead proposals, pricing, negotiation and contracting.
• Lead offerings across insurance strategy and growth, operating-model and performance transformation, claims and profitability improvement, regulatory and licensing advisory, governance and risk, digital and AI transformation, M&A, restructuring and feasibility and business planning.
• Create methodologies, diagnostic tools, proposal assets and case studies, and produce thought leadership and represent Braxtone at industry forums.
• Design the target organization and resource model, recruit, coach and retain a high-performing team, and use offshore resources where appropriate while protecting quality and confidentiality.
• Manage engagement controls, quality reviews, compliance and subcontractor networks, and work with the Insurance, Claims, Assistance and Digital businesses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, insurance, engineering or a related field; a master's degree or MBA preferred.
• Typically 15+ years of relevant professional experience, including substantial management consulting experience.
• Professional credentials such as ACII, FCII, CPCU, actuarial qualifications, CFA, CPA/CA, CISA, PMP or recognized change/transformation certifications are advantageous.
