Head of Compliance (Hybrid, Manama)

About the role

Propel Consult is seeking a Head of Compliance to lead its compliance function from its Manama office. This is a contract, hybrid position offering flexibility to work remotely part of the time while maintaining a strong on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain compliance frameworks aligned with MENA regulations.
• Monitor ongoing adherence to legal and regulatory requirements across the organisation.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify gaps.
• Provide strategic advice and updates to senior stakeholders on compliance matters.
• Update policies and procedures to reflect changes in industry standards and legislation.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of compliance management, regulatory and legal compliance.
• In‑depth understanding of laws and regulations applicable in the MENA region.
• Excellent analytical abilities for policy assessment and operational improvement.
• Proven experience designing and implementing compliance frameworks.
• Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business or a related field (master’s or certifications such as CAMS, CCEP a plus).
• Relevant compliance experience within the MENA region is highly desirable.
