Senior Government Relations Officer

About the role

The Government Relations Executive is responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with governmental and regulatory authorities in Bahrain. The role provides end‑to‑end Government Relations support for both the tMart and Logistics verticals, ensuring compliance and facilitating business continuity and expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the Government Relations focal point for tMart and Logistics, handling licensing, regulatory, labor and governmental affairs.
• Manage establishment, licensing, renewal and ongoing regulatory requirements for stores, logistics operations, riders, vehicles and facilities.
• Coordinate correspondence and responses with the Ministry of Interior, CID, Traffic Directorate and other law‑enforcement bodies on incidents and investigations.
• Maintain corporate licences and registrations such as Commercial Registration, Trade License, Chamber of Commerce membership and import licences.
• Oversee LMRA portal activities including work visa applications, renewals and business visa processing.
• Administer GOSI processes, employee registration, salary updates and work‑injury reporting.
• Handle driving‑license procedures for employees, from document preparation to coordination with the Ministry of Interior.
• Manage Tamkeen portal registrations, apply for support programmes and follow up on approvals and reimbursements.
• Coordinate family and business visit visas through the NPRA portal and ensure compliance with health and safety certifications.
• Represent the company before public notaries, regulatory bodies and in customer‑complaint hearings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in government relations, regulatory affairs or a related field.
• Strong time‑management, customer‑service and organisational skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Excel.
