Heavy Vehicle Transport Driver

About the role

Azizi Foods is seeking a dedicated Heavy Vehicle Transport Driver to join its logistics team in Manama. The role involves operating trucks over 3 tons, including tractor‑trailer combinations, to deliver products, livestock and other materials safely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect motor vehicles and ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment are functional.
• Check and secure loads, including special cargo such as refrigerated foods or livestock.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods and operate vehicles in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, repair activities and cargo conditions.
• Secure cargo using ropes, chains, binders or covers and monitor cargo area conditions during transit.
• Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions following crew signals.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations and equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Obtain delivery receipts, collect payments when required and provide excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence for vehicles over 3 tons, preferably with a commercial endorsement.
• Experience handling hazardous materials and special cargo.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols and maintain detailed records.
