HSE Manager/Officer – Safety Leadership Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager/Officer to lead health, safety and environment initiatives across our construction projects in Bahrain and the GCC. The role involves overseeing daily site activities, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and promoting a culture of safety.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site activities and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Implement HSE procedures, policies and client requirements effectively.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions and awareness programs.
• Monitor proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
• Assist in preparing risk assessments, JSA/JHA and method statements.
• Supervise high‑risk activities such as lifting, hot work, confined spaces and work at height.
• Report and investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports and safety documentation.
• Coordinate HSE matters with project teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory); IOSH certification (advantage).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in heavy industrial or EPC projects.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, quality and client satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to join immediately or with short notice.
• Willingness to work across Bahrain and other GCC locations.
