HVAC Technician

About the role

The HVAC Technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems to ensure reliable, safe, and comfortable indoor environments. You will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team, responding to routine tasks and urgent breakdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, split units, AHUs, FCUs, ductwork, and exhaust systems.
• Install, inspect, and test new HVAC equipment and components, verifying performance and safety compliance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults, execute precise repairs, and document all actions.
• Respond quickly to emergency calls to minimise downtime and facility disruption.
• Monitor system performance and energy efficiency, recommending upgrades or improvements as needed.
• Maintain accurate service logs, checklists, and maintenance reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, occupational health policies, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Assist with inventory tracking, spare‑part procurement, and support other engineering staff.

Required profile

• Technical diploma, vocational degree, or equivalent certification in HVAC/R systems.
• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician with commercial/industrial systems.
• Physically fit to handle heavy tools, work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
