Inpatient Registered Nurse (Immediate Joiners Preferred)

About the role

The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centred care to people admitted to the inpatient unit. The role covers safe clinical practice, accurate documentation, multidisciplinary coordination and compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards and patient safety guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care plans, and perform comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Provide direct care such as medication administration, wound care, vital signs monitoring, IV therapy and patient hygiene, and respond promptly to patient needs and alarms.
• Maintain infection control standards and follow IPC guidelines.
• Document nursing interventions in the EMR and report significant changes in condition to the physician or nurse manager; ensure accurate handover during shift changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and dietitians, take part in multidisciplinary rounds and care conferences, and support discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and procedures, and provide emotional support.
• Follow hospital policies and regulatory standards (e.g. JCI, NHRA), report hazards and incidents, take part in quality improvement and audits, and keep patient information confidential.
• Support colleagues, uphold the hospital's code of ethics and carry out duties assigned by the Nurse Manager in emergencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• Valid nursing license or registration with the national regulatory authority (NHRA or equivalent).
• Minimum 3-5 years of inpatient or acute-care nursing experience.

Required skills

• BLS certification (mandatory)
• ACLS/PALS preferred depending on the unit
