Internal Audit Manager

About the role

KPMG Bahrain is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead and expand its Risk Consulting services within the financial services sector. The role involves managing large, complex audit and advisory engagements for banks and insurance companies, driving practice growth, and developing the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead internal audits of financial services clients covering investment, risk management, treasury and credit operations.
• Manage compliance advisory engagements and deliver board‑level presentations.
• Develop and implement new risk consulting services and innovate practice offerings.
• Oversee multiple engagements, review files and reports, and ensure quality delivery.
• Drive business development through client targeting, proposal development and achieving sales targets.
• Recruit, train and mentor staff, including designing in‑house training programs.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ICAEW, ACCA, CPA, CIA and/or CISA (mandatory).
• 8+ years of experience in a large audit/consulting firm or commercial organisation, with at least 7‑8 years in a managerial role within financial services risk consulting.
• Proven business development track record and experience delivering new services.
