IT Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead and govern end‑to‑end technology services for Zain Bahrain. The role oversees infrastructure, enterprise applications, digital platforms, cloud environments, service desk and operational support, ensuring availability, reliability and security for both internal users and customer‑facing services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technology operations across on‑premises, private, hybrid and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI).
• Own KPIs, SLAs/OLAs, incident, problem, change and release management, and produce regular service reviews.
• Manage enterprise and customer‑facing applications, including patching, upgrades, releases and vendor coordination.
• Oversee service desk, endpoint management, user lifecycle and ticket fulfilment for Windows, Linux, Solaris and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Implement and govern disaster recovery, business continuity and data protection processes.
• Drive automation, proactive monitoring, cost optimisation (FinOps) and compliance with security standards.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, digital, business units and external vendors to align technology with transformation objectives.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing large‑scale IT operations within a telecom or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks and lifecycle governance.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder and vendor management.
