Lecturer in Nursing

About the role

The School of Nursing & Midwifery at RCSI Bahrain is seeking a qualified Lecturer in Nursing to join its academic team. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and community engagement, supporting the development of nursing education and practice.

Key responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, teach, and assess assigned theoretical and practice modules.
• Mentor students, monitor assessment outcomes, and support academic progress.
• Collaborate with academic staff to enhance the School’s education and research capacity.
• Conduct collaborative research with internal and external partners, including partner hospitals.
• Fulfill administrative duties and participate in university governance as required.
• Plan and deliver education in additional academic areas as assigned.
• Engage with community initiatives in line with RCSI Bahrain’s strategy.

Required profile

• Registered Adult Nurse with a Master’s degree.
• Proven experience in teaching, assessing, and managing students in an academic setting.
• Developing research track record demonstrated by publications.
• Strong commitment to quality improvement and self‑motivation.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to ambiguous situations.

Required skills

• Computer literacy for academic tasks.
• Effective library searching and presentation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
