Lecturer in Nursing

About the role

The School of Nursing & Midwifery at RCSI Bahrain is seeking a qualified Lecturer in Nursing to join its academic team. The successful candidate will deliver theoretical and practice modules, mentor students, and contribute to the School’s research and community engagement agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, teach and assess assigned nursing modules and programmes.
• Mentor students, monitor assessment outcomes and support academic progress.
• Collaborate with academic staff to enhance education and research capacity.
• Undertake collaborative research with internal and external partners, including partner hospitals.
• Fulfil administrative duties and participate in university governance as required.
• Plan and deliver education in additional academic areas as assigned.
• Engage with community initiatives in line with RCSI Bahrain’s strategy.

Required profile

• Registered Adult Nurse with a Master’s degree.
• Proven experience in teaching, assessing and managing students in an academic setting.
• Developing research track record evidenced by publications in nursing or health services.
• Strong commitment to quality improvement and self‑motivation.
• Flexibility to undertake overseas assignments when needed.

Required skills

• Excellent computer and library‑searching abilities.
• Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
