Lifeguard – Swimming Pool Safety Officer

About the role

Join Marriott International as a Lifeguard responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests at our swimming facilities in Manama. You will monitor swimmers, respond to emergencies, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Observe the pool area, identify unsafe conditions, and intervene when swimmers are in distress.
• Apply appropriate rescue techniques and provide first‑aid assistance until emergency services arrive.
• Enforce facility rules, promote safe behavior, and report accidents or hazards to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, handle towels, and perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Welcome guests, ensure professional appearance, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Inspect equipment for defects and follow all company policies and confidentiality requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Ability to work full‑time shifts and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Willingness to complete safety training and any local certification required.
