Machinist

About the role

Sulzer is seeking a skilled Machinist to join its global engineering team. You will be responsible for completing assigned machine‑shop operations on time, to standard, and in line with safety and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage workload and report any delivery issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area following 5S/Lean and health‑safety standards.
• Reduce waste of time and materials through continuous improvement.
• Use and perform daily maintenance on company tools and equipment.
• Complete route cards and documentation according to internal processes.
• Liaise with Engineering, Projects, Inspection and QESH departments as needed.
• Identify potential drawing issues and communicate them to inspection.
• Support audits, Lean initiatives and environmental risk management.

Required profile

• Apprentice‑trained or relevant industry experience.
• Knowledge of machine‑shop processes, health‑safety requirements and risk assessments.
• Ability to work independently, manage time and adapt to change.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
