Master Diagnostic Technician

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Master Diagnostic Technician with 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience to ensure vehicles are diagnosed and repaired to the highest standards. The role involves driving operational efficiency, supporting the workshop team, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all assigned diagnostic and repair work quickly, economically, and to company and manufacturer standards.
• Advise the workshop team leader on additional work required and obtain authorization for fault rectification.
• Supervise and assist in training apprentices when requested by senior technicians or service executives.
• Maintain competence through on‑site training, supplier courses, and reviewing technical bulletins.
• Communicate vehicle problems to customers and ensure professional, high‑quality service.
• Keep equipment, protective clothing, and work areas clean, tidy, and safe.
• Support management in introducing new methods to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in a similar automotive diagnostic role.
• Diploma or relevant vocational certification/degree in a related field.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven problem‑solving capabilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with industry‑standard diagnostic software and tools (as applicable).
