Mid-level Banking Lawyer

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated mid-level Banking Lawyer to join our dynamic Banking & Finance team in Bahrain. The role involves providing comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of banking and finance transactions and supporting the growth of our practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on banking and finance transactions, including regulatory matters, M&A, IPOs, project finance, debt finance, and collateral.
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security documents, and other transaction‑related documentation.
• Prepare legal opinions and submissions to regulatory authorities such as the Central Bank of Bahrain.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex regulatory issues.
• Manage client relationships, ensure client satisfaction, and mentor junior lawyers.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legal and regulatory developments in the banking and finance sector.
• Contribute to the development of the firm’s banking and finance practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a reputable university.
• 7‑10 years of relevant experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Strong academic record with excellent research and analytical abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of Bahrain’s banking and finance laws and regulations.
• Proven experience advising on a wide range of banking and finance transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Strong client‑service orientation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
