Network Engineer

About the role

A growing technology team is looking for a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to join its team. The role suits all levels and focuses on designing, implementing, maintaining and optimising reliable network systems that support business operations and digital connectivity. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance, availability and overall system reliability.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls and other network devices.
• Identify and resolve network connectivity issues and technical disruptions.
• Implement network security measures to protect systems and sensitive data.
• Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure projects and system integration.
• Maintain network documentation, configurations and technical reports.

Required profile

• Open to all levels; no specific experience level stated.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage technical challenges and work collaboratively with IT teams.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for learning new networking technologies.

Required skills

• Networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and routing protocols.
• Familiarity with routers, switches and firewalls.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Understanding of network security principles and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper or other networking technologies is a plus.
