Network Engineer / Telecommunications Specialist (Remote, Part‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level to senior network and telecommunications professional to design, implement, monitor and improve our clients' network and telecom environments. The position is fully remote and part‑time, allowing you to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams and external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain and optimise LAN, WAN, wireless and VPN infrastructures.
• Monitor network performance, availability and reliability, and troubleshoot routing, switching and connectivity issues.
• Coordinate technical activities with vendors, service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in network upgrades, infrastructure improvements and technology projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams and operational records.
• Support network security practices and identify potential infrastructure risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Telecommunications, Networking, IT, Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of professional experience in network engineering or telecommunications.
• Ability to manage technical tasks independently while collaborating with distributed teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, documentation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching principles.
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN and wireless networking technologies.
• Familiarity with network monitoring, troubleshooting, performance analysis and incident resolution.
• Proficiency in diagnosing connectivity and infrastructure problems.
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience with modern networking technologies.
