Nominated Postholder – Safety & Compliance Monitoring

About the role

Beond is establishing a Bahrain Air Operator Certificate and seeks a Nominated Postholder for Safety & Compliance Monitoring to lead certification, launch and ongoing oversight of its Bahrain operations based in Manama.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Bahrain Air Navigation Technical Regulations (ANTR) and BCAA requirements.
• Monitor and correct adverse compliance and operational trends across the AOC.
• Administer the Safety Management System (SMS), leading hazard identification, risk management, safety assurance and fostering a just reporting culture.
• Establish and manage an independent Compliance Monitoring function, planning and conducting audit and inspection programmes and ensuring timely closure of findings.
• Manage safety performance indicators, safety promotion activities and the reporting system, providing independent oversight of operations, ground and continuing‑airworthiness activities.
• Prepare and present safety and compliance data to the Safety Review Board and support the Accountable Manager in chairing it.
• Develop and issue Management System / Safety and Compliance Monitoring manuals and liaise with the BCAA on safety, audit and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of the AOC holder’s safety management and compliance monitoring concepts under Bahrain ANTR OPS 1 and related BCAA guidance.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in the aeronautical industry in a comparable position.
• Comprehensive understanding of Bahrain ANTR and BCAA requirements and practical experience applying aviation safety standards, safe operating practices and audit techniques.
• Must be acceptable to the BCAA following formal assessment.
