Nominated Postholder – Security for Bahrain AOC

About the role

Beond is establishing a Bahrain Air Operator Certificate and needs a Nominated Postholder Security (NPSeM) to lead certification, launch and ongoing security oversight of its operations in Manama.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Bahrain National Civil Aviation Security Programme, BCAA security requirements and applicable ANTR regulations.
• Develop, maintain and implement the Aircraft Operator Security Programme (AOSP) and set company security standards.
• Define and manage the security budget, allocating resources appropriate to the operation’s size and complexity.
• Oversee security training and awareness for crew and staff, ensuring procedures are applied at all stations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate security threats, leading the response to unlawful interference under the Emergency Response Plan.
• Liaise with BCAA, airport authorities and ground‑handling providers on security matters and implement the department SMS.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience, including at least 2 years in the aeronautical industry.
• Thorough knowledge of the AOC holder’s aviation‑security concept, Bahrain ANTR, BCAA security requirements, the National Civil Aviation Security Programme and ICAO Annex 17.
• Must be formally nominated to and accepted by BCAA and pass any required assessment.
• Recognised aviation‑security qualification (e.g., AVSEC management) and experience developing security programmes are desirable.
• Experience managing security arrangements across multiple stations or in a new‑AOC stand‑up.
• Fluent English; Arabic and regional market experience advantageous.
