OSP/ISP Construction Technical Support

About the role

The OSP/ISP Construction Technical Support professional will plan, design and execute installation, removal and re‑arrangement of overhead and underground communications infrastructure. This position supports critical telecom projects for U.S. government customers and requires close coordination with engineering and field teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering drawings for new and existing cable routes, conduits and related facilities.
• Install, test and maintain copper and fiber cabling, fiber optic modems, multiplex equipment and patch panels.
• Configure and commission main and intermediate distribution frames, lightning protection, grounding and power connections.
• Install cabinets, cable ladders, rack systems and equipment components within telecom shelters.
• Produce technical documentation and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Travel up to 10% to support mission‑critical sites.

Required profile

• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance (interim acceptable) and U.S. citizenship.
• Minimum 7 years experience installing copper and fiber cabling, related hardware and cabinet systems.
• At least 2 years experience working in a military environment.
• Associate degree in a scientific/technical discipline or 11 years of specialized experience.
• BICSI or equivalent certification.
