Panel Electrician / Switchgear Technician – Electrical Panel Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking experienced Panel Electricians, Switchgear Technicians, and Panel Wiring Technicians to join our electrical panel manufacturing and switchgear projects in Bahrain. The role involves assembling, wiring, testing and troubleshooting low‑voltage control panels, switchboards and distribution systems while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, wire and test electrical control panels, switchboards, motor control centers (MCC) and distribution boards (DB).
• Install and wire components such as MCBs, MCCBs, ACBs, contactors, relays, timers, PLCs, VFDs, SMPS, terminal blocks, CTs and protection relays.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, single line diagrams (SLDs) and control schematics.
• Perform point‑to‑point wiring, cable dressing, ferruling, gland termination and proper labeling.
• Conduct functional, continuity and insulation‑resistance testing and carry out panel inspections before dispatch.
• Diagnose and rectify wiring faults and electrical issues during assembly and testing.
• Ensure all assemblies comply with project specifications, IEC standards and quality requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Follow company safety policies, electrical safety regulations and quality procedures.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in utility, industrial panel building or switchgear manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience in panel assembly, wiring, testing and commissioning.
• Experience with electrical control panels, switchgear, MCC, PLC and distribution boards.
• GCC experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical circuits and control wiring.
• Understanding of electrical protection systems and low‑voltage switchgear.
• Proficiency with multimeters, insulation testers, crimping tools, wire‑stripping tools and power tools.
• Ability to wire PLC and VFD panels.
• Competence in reading electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, SLDs and control schematics.
• Point‑to‑point wiring, cable dressing, ferruling, gland termination and labeling skills.
