Product & Sourcing Manager

About the role

An experienced, commercially minded Product & Sourcing Manager is sought to lead product development and sourcing activities. The role covers identifying the right products for the markets, building the product portfolio, working closely with manufacturers and suppliers, and ensuring the right products arrive at the right quality, price and quantity. The position is in person.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse market trends, customer needs, competitor products and sales data to spot new product opportunities.
• Develop and manage the product portfolio, identify strategic products and recommend products that strengthen market position.
• Search for and evaluate new manufacturers and suppliers locally and internationally, and communicate directly with factories to source products.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQ, payment terms, lead time, warranty, packaging and commercial conditions.
• Prepare product specifications and coordinate with the Engineering/Technical team when needed.
• Evaluate samples and proposals, monitor development from concept through launch, and work with Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Management.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, product improvement and alternative suppliers.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Product Management, Product Development, Sourcing, Procurement or a similar commercial role.
• 3 years of direct experience dealing with manufacturers and international suppliers.
• Experience in consumer products, home appliances, electronics or distribution is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the product portfolio.
