Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety, productivity and security of the production shift at Alkegen, a global leader in high‑performance specialty fibers and inorganic materials. The role ensures that production targets are met on time, quality standards are upheld, and all plant procedures are followed.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees on the assigned shift.
• Enforce health & safety programs and plant security procedures.
• Operate fiberizing equipment, filtration system, cooling tower, compressors and sieving machine.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and log problems through the work‑order system.
• Maintain a clean, 5S‑compliant workplace and follow start‑up/shut‑down protocols.
• Prepare accurate daily production reports covering output, downtime, bag counts, weight and labor hours.
• Train new hires, coach existing staff and promote continuous performance improvement.
• Communicate effectively between management and production teams.
• Ensure finished products meet all quality requirements and investigate any incidents.
• Identify and suggest cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in specialty fiber or high‑temperature processes.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and plant security.
• Ability to lead a shift crew, train personnel and drive performance.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

• Operation of fiberizing equipment.
