Project Material and Preservation Coordinator

About the role

Bilfinger is looking for a Project Material and Preservation Coordinator to assist with cataloguing, inventorying and preserving materials for six semi-completed facilities. Materials arrive from the contractor through a standardised workflow and then need storage and preservation management. The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to keep materials in optimal condition while complying with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies. The position is mainly based at the Project Materials Warehouse, with travel within the oil field to other laydown areas and occasionally to the RUW office.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange, under the supervision of the Project Material Controller, the receipt of all materials for the six semi-completed facilities.
• Inspect materials for basic quality and quantity according to company standards and call for QC checks when needed.
• Ensure proper tagging and labelling of materials on receipt so they can be traced and tracked.
• Coordinate storage locations and ensure correct storage conditions.
• Coordinate material preservation in line with preservation procedures.
• Follow Bapco Upstream's HSE policies and procedures for materials management, including reporting incidents, injuries and near misses.

Required profile

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with experience in materials management.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in project materials.
• Demonstrated knowledge of successful materials control, preservation and logistics of project materials.

Required skills

• Good computer skills in Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures.
• Effective communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
