Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead procurement operations for a new 5‑star luxury hotel, establishing supplier networks and ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective sourcing that aligns with brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up pre‑opening procurement, negotiate preferred vendor contracts and configure procurement/inventory software.
• Manage OS&E and FF&E purchasing schedules to meet critical launch deadlines.
• Identify, evaluate and manage reliable vendors, negotiating pricing, terms and SLAs.
• Oversee receiving, store operations and stock management to optimise inventory turnover and minimise waste.
• Enforce purchasing policies, financial controls, sustainability guidelines and local health‑safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Housekeeping and Engineering teams for routine purchases, CAPEX orders and emergency requests.

Required profile

• 3–5 years experience as Purchasing Manager or Assistant Purchasing Manager in a 5‑star luxury hotel, preferably with pre‑opening project experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Finance.
• High ethical standards, strong negotiation and analytical abilities, and fluency in business English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hospitality procurement software such as Materials Control, SunSystems and Oracle.
• Inventory management and contract negotiation expertise.
