Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual & Automation)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Manama, Bahrain. The role involves both manual and automated testing of web, mobile, and API applications to ensure high quality, reliability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts.
• Perform manual testing across web, mobile and API platforms.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress or Playwright.
• Identify, document, track and verify software defects using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and product owners throughout the SDLC.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke and user‑acceptance testing.
• Validate bug fixes and conduct regression testing before releases.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide testing status updates.
• Prepare test reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve QA processes and testing methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Test Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps) and API testing (Postman).
• Familiarity with SQL and database validation.
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
