The Reporter internship at VAED is a fully remote position focused on covering education, technology, and innovation topics that align with the company’s mission. This role offers hands‑on experience in news gathering, writing, and multimedia storytelling within an emerging edtech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop story ideas related to education, technology, and AI.
• Conduct interviews with stakeholders and gather information from multiple credible sources.
• Write and edit accurate, engaging news articles and reports for digital platforms.
• Collaborate with content and marketing teams to ensure editorial alignment.
• Adapt stories for multimedia formats such as video, audio, or interactive content when needed.
• Monitor industry trends and track developments in AI and education.
• Maintain ethical standards and adhere to organizational guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong communication and writing skills for clear, concise storytelling.
• Interest or experience in news writing and editorial standards.
• Familiarity with multimedia formats and willingness to adapt content.
• Attention to detail, fact‑checking ability, and commitment to ethical journalism.
• Interest in education, technology, AI, or related fields; edtech exposure is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage deadlines, and collaborate virtually.
• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a program in journalism, communications, media studies, or a related discipline (preferred).
