Rental Executive – Leasing Specialist

About the role

The Rental Executive (Leasing Specialist) is the primary revenue generator for the company's rental portfolio, responsible for maximizing occupancy rates and revenue from residential, commercial, and retail properties. This role manages the end‑to‑end leasing process, from marketing units and conducting viewings to negotiating lease terms and processing documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead generation and conversion: proactively search for and follow up on leads through online portals, networking and internal referrals.
• Conduct professional property viewings for prospective tenants, highlighting features, benefits and value proposition.
• Maintain market intelligence on pricing, concessions and new developments to ensure competitive positioning.
• Negotiate rental terms, finalize lease agreements and handle move‑in procedures efficiently.
• Screen tenants with credit checks, background verification and employment checks in line with company policy.
• Prepare and manage lease contracts, renewals and related documentation accurately and on time.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing tenants to promote retention.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of direct experience in residential or commercial leasing.
• Proven track record of achieving occupancy and revenue targets.
• Strong knowledge of local rental laws and market conditions.
• Excellent presentation, closing and rapport‑building abilities.
• Experience with real estate CRM systems and property management software.
• Valid real‑estate or leasing licence/certification is advantageous.
