Reservations Clerk

About the role

Sheraton is hiring a full-time Reservations Clerk in Manama, Bahrain. The role handles all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail, and supports the hotel's front office operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes and cancellations and identify the appropriate room type and rate.
• Verify availability of room type and rate, and explain guarantee, special rate and cancellation policies to callers.
• Accommodate and document special requests, and answer questions about facilities, services and room accommodations.
• Follow sales techniques to maximise revenue and follow proper escalation procedures for guest concerns.
• Input and access data in the reservation system, coding special room types such as complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates and wholesale reservations.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and treat guests with genuine appreciation.
• Follow company policies, keep proprietary information confidential, protect company assets and guest privacy, and comply with quality assurance standards.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification needed.
