Retail Project Manager

About the role

The Retail Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of custom joinery and interior fit‑out projects for retail environments. Reporting to senior leadership, the role requires independent management of multiple projects from award through to handover, ensuring quality, timelines and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead project kick‑off meetings with internal departments and fit‑out teams.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys and capture critical dimensions for setting‑out planning.
• Oversee on‑site marking and setting out of joinery equipment, addressing technical queries from clients and contractors.
• Maintain project schedules (preferably using MS Projects) and generate daily/weekly progress reports with photos.
• Coordinate communication between fit‑out teams, factory personnel and client representatives, escalating discrepancies as needed.
• Monitor installation processes and recommend adjustments to equipment for future projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in joinery manufacturing, interiors or retail installation projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Natural leadership qualities with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Team‑player mindset capable of motivating diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Projects for schedule management.
