Scholarship Programme Coordinator

About the role

The World Aquatics Training Centre in Bahrain is launching a scholarship programme for swimming and diving athletes. The Scholarship Programme Coordinator will work closely with the Programme Manager to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations, supporting athletes, coaches, university partners and internal staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain athlete records, visa documentation, insurance updates and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Coordinate transportation, accommodation and travel arrangements for athletes attending competitions.
• Support athlete registration for academic courses at partner universities and act as the primary point of contact for daily logistics.
• Assist with budget tracking, invoice management and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
• Communicate regularly with the Programme Manager, athletes, coaches and other stakeholders; prepare progress and competition reports.
• Help plan and execute events and competitions, overseeing all related logistical details.
• Provide additional administrative or operational support as needed and serve as backup for the Programme Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative or project‑support experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or another language is an advantage.
