Senior Credit Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

The Senior Credit Quality Assurance Officer ensures that all credit activities within the bank are performed in strict accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best‑practice standards. This role oversees credit audit, activation, operations, and reporting to safeguard the quality of the bank's credit portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and review credit approvals, amendments, mortgages, releases and guarantee documentation for policy compliance.
• Prepare contracts and offer letters aligned with approved credit terms.
• Validate credit limit activations, ensure accurate system entries and that all facility documents are legally signed.
• Maintain complete transaction documentation, liaise with business units on exception queries, and manage end‑to‑end loan disbursement processes.
• Produce and update periodic monitoring reports covering mortgage portfolios, post‑activation conditions, share valuations, insurance expiries, overdue accounts and restructuring activities.
• Coordinate with the IT department and BENEFIT Company to amend client credit records as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, banking or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of banking experience, including at least 5 years in credit administration or operations.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Eligibility limited to Bahrainis or expatriates currently employed in Bahrain’s banking sector.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of credit products, loan documentation and collateral management.
• Strong understanding of lending regulations, compliance standards and CBB mortgage procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
