Senior QAQC Engineer

About the role

The Senior QA/QC Engineer will lead quality control activities on construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, industry standards and company procedures. Working closely with the Project Manager, Site QA/QC Manager and various stakeholders, the role drives technical guidance on material usage, testing, inspections and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify inspection, testing and trial procedures, ensuring correct methodologies and accurate recording of results.
• Analyse quality data, identify discrepancies and coordinate with consultants and client representatives to resolve issues.
• Communicate inspection and testing outcomes to project stakeholders and promptly escalate non‑conformances.
• Stop work that does not meet approved quality procedures, specifications or recognized standards.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including non‑conformance records, inspection logs, test reports and close‑out files.
• Ensure testing equipment is properly used, maintained, calibrated and logged in an equipment register.
• Monitor quality performance using statistical methods and provide improvement recommendations.
• Supervise and guide Site Engineers, QA/QC Inspectors and Document Controllers on quality requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of QA/QC experience in construction, preferably on major civil engineering projects.
• Relevant GCC experience preferred and eligibility for CRPEP registration.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection and testing requirements, and construction standards.
• Proven ability to analyse technical data, identify deviations and produce statistical quality reports.
